She aspires to be a pediatrician in the future and does her own hair and nails. She absolutely adores science and thinks that abandoned bridges are super cool.
Mylin, Age 8
When I asked Mylin what she wanted to do with her future, she enthusiastically told me that she wanted to be an artist, an olympian and a gymnastics star. Her favorite color is baby blue, sky blue and rose gold.

Malachi, Age 12
“The Blue Dark Sea”
Despite the grave title of this portrait, Malachi is the sweetest kid on the planet. While speaking to me, he always had a huge grin on his face and never seemed to question his confidence or style.
He wants to become a recruited D1 football athlete and likes the colors red, green, orange and All Blue.
Anjellah D.
Age 16
Anjelleh wants to be a photographer when she’s older and likes cheeseburgers from “just about anywhere”.
The coolest place she has been to is Florida and she loves the colors of the rainbow.
Jonathan, Age 15
Jonathan wants to grow up to be a doctor in the Navy. His favorite color is blue. He loves to draw and eat fruit.
Micheal, Age 14
Micheal wants to be an engineer. He likes building cars and painting them funky colors (hence why he made a 3D piece rather than a portrait).
He is excited to learn how to drive and thinks Disney World is the coolest place he has ever been to.
Ethan, Age 12
Ethan wants to become a streamer and a gamer when he gets older. He thinks the best games are Fortnight, Call of Duty and WWE. He also thinks blue and red are the best colors.
Taylor, Age 18
Taylor, a freshman attending the University of Winston - Salem, hopes to become a therapist in the near future.
While talking to Taylor, he reminded me that the best parts of life’s major events are kept within the random moments we all share together. He misses his senior year of high school but left it with love.
His favorite color is blue.
Serenity, Age 8
Serenity introduced herself to me in the warmest light and helped me throughout this entire documentation process. Her presence brought a noticeable joy into everyone’s life and surely changed mine.
She wants to be an artist and loves Nicky Minaj. She loves to meditate with her cousins and her favorite color is “All-Day Blue”
Trinity, Age 14
Trinity loves to play softball and volleyball in and out of school with her friends. She loves animals, babies and is certified kitten lover.
Kyrie Carter, Age 12
Kyrie told me that he wanted to be a firefighter and play soccer professionally. His favorite food is Takis and he loves all the colors of the rainbow just like Anjellah!
